About

How it works

The collection

  • 40,029 people who died before 1926, each exactly once.
  • 39,093 can be minted, for 1 USDG, over 60 days.
  • 936 legends sleep. Forty lives of one civilization wake the next, least famous first. Burning opens when the mint ends.

Fragments and legends

  • A life is a latent lift: only part of its print was found, 35–65% of it. That share is its Coverage.
  • A legend is the first complete print: forty fragments of its civilization, joined, in the civilization's own ink. The seams of the forty lifts stay faintly visible.

Inscribe (test)

  • On the testnet, lives can be written into a legend you hold, and legends into one another. Each card carries a weight: a life is 1, a woken legend 40, and an inscribed card adds its weight to the one that keeps it.
  • Heavier legends take titles and their prints turn toward a galaxy. Try it on the testnet →

Rarity: ID bits

log2(N / same class) + log2(N / same civilization)
+ log2(N / fours) + log2(N / kin)

Higher means fewer people share the traits. Nothing is set by hand.

Prints are synthetic, drawn from Wikidata records (CC0). They are not real fingerprints.
